Hindu Tamil Thisai’s curated festival SINGA60 is a landmark celebration of 6 decades of deep India – Singapore ties bringing people and the diverse culture together across the seas. Over the years Art has served as a powerful medium connecting roots and appreciating cultures across borders. Fostering stronger bond and mutual respect SINGART is a testament to this. Hindu Tamil Thisai is proud to collaborate with Forum Art Gallery Chennai in bringing some of the finest senior and emerging artists whose roots in India are reflected in their creative works that represents the “Tiny Red Dot”.

The artists explore themes of identity, memory, urban life, and cultural hybridity. Set in the vibrant city of Chennai, this exhibition creates a space for cross-cultural dialogue between two regions that are deeply connected through history, migration and language. Featuring a range of media including painting, sculpture, installation, and mixed media, the exhibition reflects the evolving narratives of Singapore’s multicultural society while resonating with Chennai’s own layered urban and cultural landscape thus celebrating the creative intersections between two dynamic cultures. We hope to leave ART enthusiasts something that will be cherished in years to come.
